Here are a couple of important things that you need
to know so that you can avoid embarrassment.
Get an cell phone and enable texting and include both numbers in your
cover letter.
Get a book of monologues ( a script to memorize and perform) and have one prepared for an audition if
it is required.
Get a monthly planner if you don't have one. You need to know what days you are doing what.
Get
to know people at auditions. You can learn a lot from each other.
Put some of the money you make back into pictures
and other things you use to get work.
Never take anyone with you on an audition, unless the audition is somewhere
or under conditions that you question.
Never drop in on an agency unless you have already developed a relationship
where you know it is OK.
Never go on an audition without copies of your headshot and resume.
Never show up
late, but if you are be sure to call and let them know that you were coming from another audition that ran over and they will
understand.
If you know that you are not good on camera or taking pictures, practice with a camcorder or digital camera.
If you can afford to take classes, do so.
